Golf Hilton Head, SC
Palmetto Dunes
On an island renowned for outstanding golf, Palmetto Dunes stands
alone. Our three award winning layouts were designed by a trio of the
game's greatest names - Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio, and Arthur
Hills - and comfortably accommodates all golfers, from the novice to
the seasoned pro.
Acclaimed by press and players alike, Palmetto Dunes has been named
one of the best golf resorts in America by Golf Magazine and has
been honored by virtually every major golf publication, including
Golf Digest, Golfweek, Golf World, Senior Golfer, Golf for Women
and Links. If your game needs a little fine-tuning, the expert
staff at Palmetto Dunes offers the finest golf instruction.
Great golf is also at the heart of Palmetto Hall Plantation.
Renowned designer Arthur Hills created the community's first course,
which was rated by Golf Magazine as one of the nation's "Top 10
New Courses" for 1991 and one of Hilton Head Island's "Top Three
Layouts". Spread across the former site of a Civil War garrison, The
Hills Course is seamlessly integrated into wetlands and strands of live
oak, willow, and pine. Palmetto Halls's second course, designed by
Robert Cupp, is a scenic delight that skirts vast sawgrass marshes and
dense forests of oak and pine. Refreshingly new and original, the Cupp
course is a fine complement to the more traditional design of the Hills
course.
